Katie Price in new council row over turning Mucky Mansion into second hand car lot

Katie Price is embroiled in a new council row after turning her Mucky Mansion house into a second-hand car lot despite driving ban.

Multiple vehicles including a Mercedes, Range Rover, Jaguar and VW Beetle have been spotted at the £2million home, sparking a council enquiry to see if car salesman fiancé Carl Woods is running his business there. Carl, 32, ran his car business from his dad's Essex home but recently changed the address to Katie's house in West Sussex.

This isn't the first investigation into the 'alleged running of a second-hand car business' as council officials opened a case last December but the case was closed in March. Now, the former glamour model is facing a second probe from the council as the case is now 'pending consideration' with a decision due later this year on December 5, reports The Sun.

Under planning laws, the storing and selling of cars from a private residential address could be deemed an unauthorised 'change of use' of the property. It could be found to be 'not incidental to the enjoyment of the house' and planning permission could have to be applied for, and granted.

Running a second-hand car business from their home could also be deemed to have a detrimental effect on neighbours' homes, the character of the area and environment, and highway safety. The first council probe came as Katie, 44, was spared jail over a drink and drug fuelled crash last September.

The mother of five was given a 16-week suspended sentence and a two-year driving ban for flipping her uninsured BMW X5 into a hedge while disqualified from the road and under the influence.

Back in December, Carl listed the address of Katie's home as the place to come and view his fleet of second-hand cars. Among the range of mainly prestige cars, Carl was trying to sell included a Range Rover, Lamborghini, Audi, Porsche and Mercedes.

That same month, Katie was handed a two-year driving ban, after pleading guilty to drink-driving, without insurance and whilst disqualified.

In his blurb on Autotrader, the car salesman tells customers: "Not only can you find the perfect used prestige car at Bespoke Automotive, but our staff can also help you secure vehicle finance for your used prestige car and after sales servicing such as new tyres, window tinting or detailing.

“Bespoke Automotive offer their used cars not only to local customers, but can also organise delivery of your dream car to anywhere in the world, simply contact us to find out more."
