Katie Price claims dog was 'killed on purpose' following reports it was hit by car

Katie Price has claimed that her beloved German Shepherd dog Blade was killed on 'purpose' when it tragically lost its life on Monday, following reports it was struck by a car close to her West Sussex mansion outside the family home.

The mum-of-five was devastated when the family's guard dog lost its life yesterday, with the 44-year-old saying she was left "numb and shocked" following the incident. Katie has now taken to social media to update people on the ongoing situation, reports the Mirror.

On her Instagram story, Katie wrote: "Somebody has killed my dog on purpose as an attack against me. I'm investigating it," before the former glamour model posted on her social media that she had removed her hair extensions following the stressful ordeal.

Sharing a picture of herself with new shoulder-length hair, Katie ranted: "Extensions out ready for new transformation. Literally had so much s**t thrown at me and being single now and now dealing with the suspicions my dog had been killed deliberately so being investigated I need a massive change and move in my life."

Many of her loyal fans rushed to the post, with one writing: "You’re stronger than you know angel, sadly, you get challenges coming at you more than you deserve.. stay strong."

Katie first welcomed Blade into the family fold back in 2019 after being held at gunpoint in South Africa during a carjacking. Taking to Instagram, she shared the sad news of his death with her followers as she posted a photo of the pair of them together.

She wrote: "Words can’t express the lost of my best friend my protector my absolutely everything who had sadly passed away today. I have no words to say how I’m feeling but numb and shocked rip Blade."

The 44-year-old troubled star's latest heartbreak comes only three years since they lost her little French Bulldog Rolo, who she bought for her daughter Princess' 13th birthday. The dog tragically suffocated after getting trapped under an armchair in their Brighton home.

Katie bought Rolo to try and cheer Princess up after her beloved Alsatian Sparkle was killed. The pedigree pooch was adopted into the Price family in January 2019, but it kept escaping from the family home and running out onto the nearby A24.

Sparkle's half-sister, Bear, also had three near-death experiences in a matter of weeks on the same road and was fortunately found on the dual carriageway by a policeman.

After a run-in with another dog in April 2019, Katie re-homed the £1,000 hound for its own safety, with her rep telling the Mirror at the time: "Yes she’s had to give Bear away because he kept running onto the road and he had bitten another dog."

A petition created to ban Katie from owning any more pets was launched in 2020 following Rolo's death and has now reached 30,000 signatures with that number still increasing.
