A plastic surgeon who Katie Piper credits with 'saving her life' has been suspended for six months after he tried to hide his creepy past behaviour with a patient. Dr Mohammad Jawad, who rose to fame for treating acid attack victim Piper, was caught lying about his previous suspension when applying for two jobs.
In 2015, the award-winning surgeon was suspended after he drank vodka and wine with a patient, grabbed her by the arms and asked her to dance as he played music by Julio Iglesias - causing her to flee his private practice. Now, after he failed to mention the 2015 suspension when applying for an NHS job and another healthcare job, he has been hauled back to a doctors' tribunal and suspended again.
Dr Jawad, who ran his own Harley Street clinic and has worked extensively in Scotland, was the lead surgeon at London's Westminster and Chelsea Hospital and treated model Piper after she suffered extensive acid burns in 2008. He rebuilt the TV presenter's face using a series of 'pioneering and ground-breaking operations'.
