Former Coronation Street star Katie McGlynn looked a far cry from the Weatherfield cobbles as she headed out for a dinner date. The Rochdale actress, who played Sinead Osbourne in the ITV soap, looked gorgeous as she hit the town in a leather-look purple outfit.
The glam blonde wowed in her bandeau top and matching trousers as she struck a pose during her sushu meal at Peter Street Kitchen. Indicating that she is participating in Dry January, she captioned the photo shared on her Instagram: "Impromptu dinner dates #datenight #dryjanuary #sushilovers."
Katie took to her Instagram Stories to explain who her date was. "For everyone asking who the mystery man is," she wrote with a photo of herself laughing alongside her date, tagging her best friend Lee Bennett.

The pair have known each other for years and in 2021 Katie penned a poem to show appreciation for her pal on Valentine's Day, saying she doesn't need a man when she has her "gay best friend.'" Sharing a smiley snap of the pair on a walk together, she penned: "Roses are red, violets are blue, who needs a man when I have a GBF like you?"
The 29-year-old was flooded with compliments over her look. Former Corrie co-star Sair Khan, who plays Alya Nazir, posted a stream love heart emojis.
admirjakupovic92 messaged: "Never fail to amaze!" adams.mith84 told her: "Wowza." ridgwaytech applauded: "Absolutely Perfect Katie." katiesgalaxyxox gasped: "O.M.G YOU LOOK GORGEOUS QUEEN." And kirstyemartinmua said: "Stunning."
Before Coronation Street Katie played pupil Jodie 'Scout' Allen in the recently revived BBC school drama Waterloo Road from 2011 to 2013. She was feeling nostalgic as the show, which was set in Rochdale before moving to Scotland, returned on BBC One and iPlayer and is based in Greater Manchester again.
"I honestly owe so much to @waterlooroad and Ms Jodie ‘Scout’ Allen - the TV role that started my career and one that I’ll never forget …swipe for a surprise," she Instagrammed as she posted a picture of herself as Scout riding her bike.
"I grew up on this show, working alongside so many wonderful humans (on and off screen) many of which I’ve had the pleasure of working and keeping in touch with since. I filmed my first series while also studying for my a-levels and I was also lucky enough to join them on their move up to Scotland.
"To have those storylines at that age as an actor was just a dream come true and I learnt so much from the actors, directors and crew - even if they did make me ride a BMX and dye my hair a muddy brown colour and cover it in grease for my first series!
"Seeing it back on our screens after so many years is bloody wonderful - the team have done such a great job of bringing it back to life," she wrote. And Katie added: "And it’s great to see lots of familiar faces."
