Katie Holmes has paid tribute to her “beloved” James Van Der Beek following his death, describing the loss as “a lot to process” as she reflected on their shared early years in television.

Holmes starred alongside Van Der Beek throughout the teen drama Dawson’s Creek, where they played the central characters Joey Potter and Dawson Leery.
