Heavy rain at the US Open forced Katie Boulter’s second-round fixture against Karolina Muchova under the roof of the Louis Armstrong Stadium, as wet weather threatened the tournament schedule for a second straight day.

The shift to the prestigious arena, named after the iconic jazz musician, brought no joy for the British number one. She suffered a severe 6-1 6-0 defeat in under an hour, marking the worst grand slam loss of her career.
