Katherine Ryan has detailed a disappointing visit to Disneyland Paris with her family, comparing the popular theme park to a "trash high street" full of parents "vaping and smoking".
The Canadian comedian, 40, took her husband Bobby Kootstra and children Violet, 14, two-year-old Fred, and 12-month Fenna, on what should have been a magical trip to the French theme park over Christmas.
Taking aim at the park's Disney Village, she claimed that everyone there was vaping and smoking cigarettes while close to their children.
She explained: "Everyone was vaping and smoking actual cigarettes whilst pushing a buggy or holding a child's hand. I've never seen so much vaping in my life."
The Duchess star was also left disappointed by the lack of Disney characters she met at the park.
"I asked, 'Where are all the characters?' It seemed very barren. We saw Jessie from Toy Story and the chipmunks and that was it," she fumed.
Ryan said it was in stark contrast to a previous visit in 2011, telling Mail Online: "When I took my daughter Violet there in 2011, there were loads of characters."
Giving the verdict on her most recent visit, she concluded: "I did not have a nice time."
The Standard has contacted a representative for Disneyland Paris for comment.
While future trips to Disneyland Paris may not be on the cards, Ryan told the Standard recently that she hopes 2024 will be the year that sees her return to live touring.
"I would love to do another tour," she said. "I’m going to take a little bit of time now to do the stand-up circuit again, kind of start from the beginning and do clubs and pubs and open mic nights.
"I’m almost finished breast feeding, I feel like I just love stand up but I feel grateful that people come to see me on purpose but I don’t want to do another tour until I’ve got a really good new show and get a babysitter."
