Katherine Renee Kane, known for her role as Special Agent Tiffany Wallace on the TV show FBI, is set to bid farewell to the character during the upcoming season 7. The 32-year-old actress will make at least one final appearance before exiting the show entirely, as reported by Deadline. While Kane has not officially commented on her departure, CBS has been contacted for confirmation.
The news of Kane's exit comes shortly after the announcement of Lisette Olivera joining the FBI cast as a new character named Syd, a Behavioral Analysis Unit agent who will now be working in the field. It remains unclear how Syd's character will be introduced or how Tiffany Wallace will depart from the FBI, but it is speculated that Syd will become the partner of Special Agent Stuart Scola, portrayed by John Boyd.
John Boyd, a series regular since season 2 in 2019, was initially partnered with Ebonee Noel's Kristen Chazal before her departure at the end of season 2. Kane joined the cast in 2020 during season 3 and has been a series regular ever since.
During season 6 of FBI, Tiffany Wallace's storyline took a central focus as she grappled with the guilt of witnessing the death of Special Agent Trevor Hobbs during an undercover mission gone wrong. By the end of the season, she found closure as Hobbs' killer was brought to justice.
In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Kane expressed her hopes for Tiffany's character development in season 7, emphasizing the need for her to soften up and explore different facets of her personality, possibly including a love interest.
FBI is scheduled to return for its seventh season on CBS on Tuesday, October 15, at 8 p.m. ET.
