A first look trailer for the upcoming new show Anyone Can Sing, starring Katherine Jenkins OBE, has finally been released.
The four-part series will see six of the UK’s worst singers put through their paces as their voices are transformed from screeching in the shower, to singing like a real soprano - proving that all of us can hold a tune.
The participants will also have a personal milestone they will each work towards, which will come to fruition at the end of episodes three or four.
Anyone Can Sing's 90-second trailer begins with viewers being introduced to the six wannabe singers as mezzo-soprano and professor of singing at Guildhall, Sarah Pring asks them: "Why do you think you can't sing?"
Sarah is joined by voice coaches in the form of award-winning Scottish tenor, Nicky Spence, and countertenor and principal tutor of Royal Northern College of Music, Michael Harper.
But it's 41-year-old Katherine who takes centre stage as their celebrity mentor.
The Welsh operatic pop singer is seen meeting the six tuneless trainees and telling them: "Thank you so much for agreeing to sing with me."
Footage is then shown of Katherine performing at the half time show at the Atlanta Falcons versus New York Jets NFL game back in October 2021.
The mother-of-two looks absolutely stunning in a red gown as she's joined by the group of six at the worldwide sporting event.
Anyone Can Sing will see the English National Opera’s world-class vocal coaches mentor the would-be singers throughout the process.
They will give them masterclasses on everything from vocal technique to stage presence and setting them a series of musical challenges to take their singing to the next level – all in the space of just three months.
Brand New for 2022, Sky Original Anyone Can Sing will air on Sky Arts, Freeview and NOW on March 30.
