Kate Middleton 'snubbed' Harry and Meghan in new family snap, claims expert

Princess Kate has "very much appeared to snub" Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as she shared a snap of the late Queen with younger royals, an expert has said.

The never-before-soon photo was taken by the Princess at Balmoral last summer and shows the former monarch sat on a sofa with some of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

However, not all of the Queen's great-grandchildren are in the family snap.

Harry and Meghan's children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are nowhere to be seen in the picture.

A PR expert has said the photo appears to be a dig at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, with the relationship between the Sussexes and the Royal Family said to be "tense".

Speaking to The Mirror, PR to the stars Mayah Riaz said: "The photo does very much appear to snub Harry and Meghan.

"Yes, it may be the case that a photo with all of the Queen's great-grandchildren (including Archie and Lillibet) is not in existence.

"However, in the current climate with the speculations about the animosity between the two brothers, this photo doesn't do anything to eradicate that."

She suggested Kate could have included Archie and Lilibet in her post in an attempt to put a stop to feud speculation.

"If Kate and William did not want this photo to be seen as a snub, they could have easily mentioned Archie and Lilibet within the captions.

"William and Kate are aware that every action of theirs is scrutinised, including this photo of the Queen which they posted on their social media.

"If they aren't aware, they certainly have skilled advisors around them who are perfectly aware of how this would be perceived by us."

The picture comes after Prince Harry confirmed he will be returning to the UK to attend King Charles' Coronation on May 6.

Harry, who laid bare his troubled relationship with the Royal Family in his Netflix documentary and memoir Spare, will be alongside other family members including his estranged brother Prince William and his wife, the Princess.

Mayah said: "You don't have to be an insider to know that the relationship between Harry and William is broken. You can't even say it's amicable.

"All eyes will be on the two brothers during the Coronation and how they will interact.

"It's because of this we can assume that Harry will not be playing a prominent role within the Coronation. There was even surprise amongst some circles that Harry is even attending.

"If we needed any clues as to the feelings between Harry and the Royals, the fact he is not staying for the concert is a strong sign.

"This photo has done nothing to bridge those speculations."
