The Princess of Wales is known to be a very hands-on mum to her three children - Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
This means despite her royal status and having a nanny on hand, she gets stuck in to all areas of raising her brood.
But being a parent is never easy and there have been several times when Kate has spoken out about the difficulties and pressures of bringing up children.
Just yesterday, she joked that her kids may not have wanted to take part in making pancakes for Shrove Tuesday after she described her effort at making one in a nursing home in Slough as a "congealed blob".
And here we look at some other relatable candid mum confessions made by Kate since welcoming her children...
Knitting fail
Kate has often wowed fans with her artistic skills and she clearly has a creative side.
But there's one creative hobby that Kate revealed she picked up in order to create a very special present for her eldest son Prince George.
However, she was later forced to admit the present turned out to be a disaster as she was "really bad" at the skill.
So what was the hobby? Knitting!
Kate first revealed she was trying her hand at knitting way back in 2013 when she was pregnant with George.
According to Hello!, she told a group of royal fans while visiting Glasgow: "I've been trying to knit and I'm really bad. I should be asking for tips!"
In 2020, during a trip to Bradford, Kate visited Older Yet Wiser - an organisation that supports grandparents - and met with some grandmothers who were showing off their crocheting skills.
And there she confessed that her attempts to knit George a jumper had completely failed.
She told the group: "I tried knitting when I first had George. I tried to knit him a very special jumper, but I got halfway down and it splattered. It's such an amazing skill."
Hair struggle
Whenever Kate steps out in public with all three of her children, they always look immaculately turned out.
But it's not easy getting all three youngsters ready - especially Charlotte, and it is all down to her hair.
During a visit to Cumbria in June 2019, Kate revealed that she struggles with styling Charlotte's beautiful hair.
A young girl who met the Princess of Wales on her visit offered her a bouquet of flowers and was met with a sweet compliment from Kate.
She told her: "I love your plaits. They are so pretty. Who's done those, who's done your plaits?"
Then Kate made a sweet revelation, which many parents of young girls will relate to.
She admitted: "I tried to do a plait with Charlotte this morning, it didn't really work very well."
Meanwhile, it's not just Kate who has spoken of the struggle of styling Charlotte's hair - Prince William has too.
On a trip to Blackpool in 2019, he was chatting to a fellow dad, who admitted that he'd had difficulty learning how to do his daughter's hair.
School exhaustion
Like most parents during the Covid lockdowns, Kate had to take on the role of teacher as well as mum.
She and Prince William had to home school their older children George and Charlotte - and Kate admitted it left her exhausted.
The princess made the admission on a video call, where she said: "I think as parents you've the day-to-day elements of being a parent, but I suppose during lockdown we have had to take on additional roles that perhaps others in our communities, or in our lives would have perhaps supported us and helped us with.
"We've had to become a teacher - and I think, personally, I feel pulled in so many different directions and you try your best with everything but at the end of the day I do feel exhausted."
Can't keep up
The youngest of Kate's children in four-year-old Louis - and at the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations, he proved to be somewhat energetic.
So it's no wonder that Kate has previously told how the youngster has been charging around on his scooter and keeping her and William on their toes.
The mum-of-three shared details of the family's private life during a phone call with brave Mila Sneddon, who had been undergoing chemotherapy for leukaemia.
Kate said: "Louis has got so big now. He’s very quick running around and he’s on his little scooter as well. He’s very quick. I can’t keep up with him."
Mum guilt
Meanwhile, one highly relatable parenting confession Kate once made in the past was about "mum guilt".
Kate recalled feeling 'guilty' when she was too busy to take her daughter Charlotte to school on Giovanna Fletcher's podcast Happy Mum, Happy Baby.
When asked if she feels mum guilt, Kate admitted: "Yes absolutely - and anyone who doesn't as a mother is actually lying.
"Yep - all the time, Even this morning, coming to the nursery visit here - George and Charlotte were like 'Mummy how could you possibly not be dropping us off as school this morning?'
"It's a constant challenge - you hear it time after time from mums, even mums who aren't necessarily working and aren't pulled in the directions of having to juggle work life and family life."
