Kate Middleton was seen breaking an 'unwritten' royal rule while greeting well-wishers during a visit this week.
The Princess of Wales had been making an official appearance in Scarborough when a royal fan asked her to take a picture, before he put his arm around her.
Grabbing her attention, Kate was seen more than happy to smile for the photograph, and had chatted to the gentleman before moving on past the crowd.
