Kate Garraway hit out at Good Morning Britain's entertainment editor Richard Arnold after he made a light-hearted criticism about Carol Vorderman.
The entertainment correspondant was sharing the latest I'm A Celebrity South Africa gossip with Kate and her Good Morning Britain co-host Ben Shephard.
In the latest instalment of jungle action, the camp competed against each other to win a luxury food package.
However, in a bid to prevent the opposing team from being competitive, Helen Flanagan played down how nice the edible treats were.
Richard share a clip of Carol commenting on the deception after the Countdown star went live on Instagram while watching the episode on Wednesday night.
She said: "Helen, innocent meerkat, satanic meerkat angel, 'Let's tell them that it wasn't so nice so they won't be so competitive.' Genius, evil genius.
"Helen is very naughty to play it down and she's the best at fibbing, she's got these big wide innocent eyes."
Commenting on the video, Richard remarked: "Carol clearly did her own make up," as Kate interjected: "How rude!"
Richard clarified he was teasing the Countdown star and had recently gone for lunch with his good friend Carol.
The GMB entertainment editor went on to praise Carol for having the "best laugh" before joking she should be "front row in the Loose Women audience" because of her infectious giggle.
Elsewhere in I'm A Celebrity news, two former EastEnders stars Joe Swash, who starred as Mickey Miller, and Robbie Jackson star Dean Gaffney returned to the jungle.
Dean's time on I'm A Celebrity was immortalised as he became one of viewers' funniest contestants during his live Bushtucker Trial.
“That live Trial became folklore,” Dean commented ahead of his return to the I'm A Celebrity jungle. “Every year it gets wheeled out as one of the best moments, so even if I want to forget it I can’t!
"People still stop me in the street and chat to me about the Trial. And whenever I am having a bad day, I put the Trial on and it makes me feel better. My pain is everyone else’s gain!”
