Viewers of Good Morning Britain were 'cringing' after watching host Kate Garraway interview a guest on cancel culture.
The topic came about to discuss their views on celebrities being 'cancelled' for things that they have said or done in the past - meaning fans shun them because of previous actions.
Speaking to the guest, lawyer and human rights activist Dr Shola Mos-Shogbamimu, the presenter struggled to pronounce her surname.

After spluttering with her words Kate said: "Let me do that again. Dr Shola, you say your surname because I'm useless this morning."
The doctor replied: "Read it phonetically. I'm not going to let you get away with that."
Kate did as she was told as she said: "Ok, I'm going to try it again" as this time she went on to pronounce it correctly but slowly.
Dr Shola gave her a little clap as she said: "Well done."
Kate continued to dig herself a hole as she added: "By the way, I always stumble like that over Smith. So you know, rather than anything else I just struggle to get my word's out most mornings."
Viewers at home were horrified by the moment on the show and took to Twitter to express their thoughts.
Cava said: "Oh no Dr Shola what ever her surname is gonna cancel Kate @kategarraway @SholaMos1 #GMB."
Molly said: "Kate Garraway digging herself a hole there… just pronounce her name like you would anyone else?? #GMB #GoodMorningBritain"
Juani said: "Oh mate. Cringe. How can you ask a guest to say their own surname? #GMB"
Bal said: "OMG did Kate really do that? I can't say your surname!! How insulting! #gmb."
The guest went on to say that people should face consequences for their actions as she spoke from a video link.
Kate asked what things now will be a problem in the future, when people look back and decide that things being said in today's society are no longer acceptable.
Dr Shola replied: "The expression of hate has not evolved at all, it's the same thing. Apology is just not enough, you need to be able to change your behaviour."
Comedian Leo Kearse was also on the show and hit back by saying that jokes are not hateful. He said: "The only hate I see is people doing the cancelling."
As the two guests disagreed they continued to shout over each other with the Dr repeatedly saying: "This is unacceptable" before Ben Shephard cut in and asked Leo to let her speak.
Leo stopped to listen for a minute before it became heated again and they continued to argue over each other.
The heated interview come to an end as Kate told them they were out of time.
Fans on Twitter couldn't believe what they had watched.
Angela said: "Not good news reporting @GMB. Cancel culture argument that presenters @kategarraway and @BenSheppard couldn't control!!!! All I could hear was a lot of shouting over each other. Absolutely Appalling watch. #GMB #kategarroway #benshepherd #nocontrol#Appalling"
Jim said: "#GMB Brilliant example of the lack of experienced debate by many today. Leo Kerse was there for the taking, talking nonsense, yet Dr Shola threw it away by constantly shouting him down instead of calmly destroying his argument. How not to debate."
Dennis said: "#GMB well that was a car crash interview why have either of them on?"
