Kate shares one-year-old son Cree with former pro footballer husband Rio Ferdinand.
She is also step-mum to Rio’s three older children – Lorenz, 15, Tate, 13, and 10-year-old Tia.
Sadly their mum Rebecca Ellison died from cancer in 2015 at the age of just 34.
Since Kate joined the family, she has regularly spoken out about their blended family unit and how proud she is to be a part of it.
Prior to launching the podcast, she had been offering advices to other families like hers.
In December she launched an entire platform, also called Blended, for those in a similar position.
Admitting life has not always been easy, Kate shared: “As you all know we are a blended family.
“I am a step mum to my three beautiful big kids Lorenz, Tate & Tia who unfortunately lost their mum at a very young age. Now [I'm also] a biological mum to our beautiful blessing Cree.
"Being a step mum to three children who have been through so much and a husband whose wife passed away brings a unique set of challenges.”
Kate said there have been "many times" that she has felt "lost, confused and not sure where to turn," adding: "When I first became a step-parent I felt very isolated and alone. I just didn't know who to talk to."
The mum-of-four said that as her journey continues she has realised there is "a real need for a place to connect and get advice" from others going through similar experiences.
Introducing the platform, she wrote: "So here we have it @blended - a safe space for us to all share our blended family experiences and support each other along this journey."
Kate said she hopes to share "some personal experiences along the way" as well as include advice from professionals. She added that there will be lots of discussions and quotes too.
