Kate Ferdinand has revealed that her step-son Lorenz has temporarily moved out of the family home whilst he's pursuing a career in football like his dad Rio Ferdinand.
The podcast host, 31, shared the news on the latest episode of her podcast Blended, whilst discussing her family - which includes her husband Rio, 44, and her three step-children.
The former footballer - who has been married to Kate since 2019 - is dad to Lorenz, 16, Tate, 14, and Tia, 11, through his marriage to late wife Rebecca Ellison, who died in 2015.
The sports pundit is also dad to two-year-old son Cree, whom he shares with his wife Kate. And the couple are expecting another child together, due later this year.
Kate mentioned that step-son Lorenz is living elsewhere at the moment on the latest episode of her podcast Blended, which featured her husband Rio as a guest.
Lorenz is understood to have signed to Brighton & Hove Albion under-18's team, following in the footsteps of his dad Rio who played football professionally for 20 years.
During a discussion about their family, Kate said: "I don't even know if anyone knows this. [Lorenz] doesn't live at home at the moment. He's in digs with another family."
Rio - whose career saw him play for football teams like Manchester United - added: "Because of what he's doing. He's playing football. We ain't just thrown him out".
It was further commented that Kate had been emotional when the teenager moved out of their home in Kent, with Rio saying that she had been "crying" over the situation.
Kate added: "I was devastated when he moved out. [...] I miss him so much. We still see him twice a week but I miss him so much and that's taken a lot of getting used to."
The Only Way is Essex alum said that the family looking after Lorenz have been complimentary, with Rio later adding that his son has been praised over his manners.
