Kate Beckinsale has shared a photo of her lying in a hosptial bed with her Pomeranian named Myf.
The 50-year-old British actress took to Instagram on Wednesday night to update her social media followers on her latest furry “visitor”.
Laying in her hospital bed, the Underworld star dressed in a pair of dog-print pyjamas and a black velvet headband while her pooch sat on her lap.
The day prior, Beckinsale received a visit from one of her beloved cats. She is yet to disclose why she had been hospitalised.
However, a source told ET on Wednesday that Beckinsale “hasn't been doing or feeling well” but is “doing her best to take care of herself”.
The Standard has contacted Kate Beckinsale's representatives for comment.
The actress has been under increasing strain in recent months, including grieving the death of her stepfather Roy Battersby in January after suffering “a massive stroke” while battling two forms of cancer.
She has also been caring for her mother Judy Loe, who has been experiencing significant health issues.Beckinsale expressed her gratitude to her mum for her unwavering support in a joint Mother’s Day and birthday post shared earlier in the week.
The post included a video of Loe celebrating with champagne and tucking into cake alongside several selfies.
She also shared two pictures of herself in a hospital bed, wearing a black headband adorned with a bow.
In her caption, the Brit born A-lister wished her mother a happy birthday and Mother’s Day, before describing how Loe has supported her throughout the last week.
She penned: “Thank you to those that love us and support us when it’s s*** and try to make sure there are some bits that aren’t.
“And for looking after our dogs when we can’t, and lead us to remember happy things when we can’t. And turn up when we are sick and sit with us... And send balloons and check in and pull us out of wells with love.”
After she noted that her “mother’s capacity for joy” was “so inspiring and beautiful,” she once again celebrated Loe in her caption.
She shared: “Happy everything mama. Your fight for joy despite also welcoming tears is the experience of watching a warrior up close. I love you.”
