Kash Patel reacted to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting attempt, calling it an event that even movies do not depict.
On Saturday, 25 April, at 8:30pm, a suspected gunman attempted to storm the black-tie event at the Washington Hilton hotel.
Shots were fired during the incident before the suspect was apprehended by the Secret Service, and no one was injured.
The FBI director noted the significant attendance, including almost the entirety of the president's cabinet, the president, vice president, and 2000 members of the media.
A manifesto allegedly belonging to the suspect, Cole Allen, indicated plans to attack administration officials. The alleged manifesto prioritised officials from highest to lowest ranking but specifically excluded Kash Patel.
