Kash Patel fired FBI spy team that monitored Iranian threats days before attack

  • FBI Director Kash Patel fired a dozen agents from the elite CI-12 global spy unit last Wednesday, which monitors threats from Iran.
  • The firings occurred after Patel learned his and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles’ phones were subpoenaed in the probe into classified documents at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.

  • The firings happened just days before the U.S. and Israel launched 'Operation Epic Fury,' involving airstrikes on Iran that killed its Supreme Leader and escalated conflict in the Middle East.
  • Donald Trump admitted in a letter to Congress that the full scope and duration of military operations against Iran are currently unknown, despite earlier suggestions of a shorter conflict.
