Karolina Muchova showcased her exceptional skills during a commanding 6-2, 6-2 victory over Jasmine Paolini at the United Cup, propelling the Czech Republic to a semifinal clash against the United States. Despite a remarkable 'tweener' shot between her legs that caught the crowd's attention, Muchova's diverse range of shots, including slices and unconventional plays, proved too much for Paolini. This win extended Muchova's perfect 5-0 record against Paolini, who had reached the finals at both the French Open and Wimbledon last year.
In the following match, Tomas Machac continued the Czech Republic's dominance by defeating Flavio Cobolli with a convincing 6-1, 6-2 scoreline. The Czech duo of Muchova and Machac is now set to face off against the American pair of Coco Gauff and Taylor Fritz in the upcoming semifinal.
