Karol G joins Andrea Bocelli for revamped rendition of timeless classic "Vivo por ella"

Karol G's mom couldn't stop crying after the release of her latest musical collaboration. It's because Andrea Bocelli invited the Colombian singer for a duet to sing the Spanish version of the all time classic: "Vivo per lei" ("I live for her). The single, out on Friday with a beautiful music video, is part of Bocelli's upcoming album titled Duets, which celebrates his 30-year career in the music world.

"I just saw my mom sob uncontrollably when I surprised her and she heard the song," Karol G wrote in an Instagram post sharing the music video. " I couldn't be more thankful for this invitation and for having the opportunity to accomplish gigantic things I never imagined."

The new rendition, dubbed "Vivo por ella," is produced by David Foster and Ellis and revamps the 1995's track with a more upbeat, modern rhythm, seamlessly blending Bocelli's powerful tenor with Karol G's warm voice. The original version of the song catapulted Bocelli to success, topping the charts in France, Switzerland, Belgium, and Panama.

"This song holds a very special place in my heart, and it's a great honour to reimagine it with one of the most talented and exciting new artists in the world, KAROL G," said the world-renowned Italian tenor about the collaboration.

"Her beautiful voice helps create a timeless celebration of love and music that will find new fans and resonate across generations," he added.

The Colombian singer said she discovered Bocelli when she was a teenager and felt very connected to his music. "This song is a huge honor for me - it's a song I've always loved, and when I was invited to sing 'Vivo por Ella' it felt like coming home," she noted.

Duets' two CD's will be released on October 25th and include 32 collaborations with mayor world artists like Laura Pausini, Marc Anthony, Stevie Wonder, Mary J. Blige, Céline Dion, Ed Sheeran, among others.
