MANGALURU: Two pairs of gaurs were sighted in the Mangaluru forest range. While one pair was sighted near Padil, the other was sighted at Ira near Konaje.
RFO Prashanth Pai said that the department is keeping a close watch on their movement.
May have come to Padil from Kudremukh
In the first week of June, a pair of gaurs was sighted near Padil. It is suspected that the pair of gaurs spotted at Padil came from the Kudremukh side, and is expected to return on the same route via Bajpe.
The gigantic gaurs may have come in search of food.
