Karnataka: Six killed in Mysuru road accident

MYSURU: Six persons from Kodagu have died on the spot after the jeep in which they were travelling rammed into an avenue tree near Kallahalli in Hunsur, Mysuru district.

According to police sources, Anil, Santhosh, Rajesh, Vinuth, Babu and Dayanand who were travelling in the jeep have died on the spot. They were returning to their native place Polibetta in Kodagu after attending a marriage ceremony when the tragedy happened around 5 pm. The driver too has died on the spot.

Women and children who were in another jeep reached the spot soon after but by that time all six had died.

Two other passengers were said to have been injured. They have been shifted to the hospital.
