BENGALURU: In an indication of the growing popularity of battery-run vehicles, especially after the rise in fuel prices, the total number of electric vehicles (EVs) in the state has crossed the one-lakh mark.
According to the Union ministry of road transport and highways, 1,00,432 e-vehicles were registered in Karnataka till April 15 (Friday). Statistics show Uttar Pradesh (3 lakh) has the maximum number of EVs in the country, followed by Delhi (1.4 lakh). Karnataka is third.
