Karnataka: Rain batters coast, artificial flooding affects many areas

MANGALURU/ UDUPi:Though the monsoon has been active since the past fortnight, it rained particularly heavily since Monday night, which continued on Tuesday, battering the coastal districts.

There have been reports of several houses being damaged due to inundation, landslides, and artificial flooding. Five flights were delayed or diverted due to the rain. There were power outages in some parts of the city and district.
