Karnataka: Man dies in accident, wife kills infant, herself

MANGALURU: A 30-year-old woman allegedly killed her 6-month-old son before taking her own life in Raichur district late Saturday night after she was informed about her husband’s death in Mangaluru less than two hours earlier.

Mangaluru City police commissioner N Shashi Kumar said Gangadhar B Kammara, 36, a driver attached to the fire and emergency services, was killed on the spot after he was hit by an SUV when he was crossing NH-66 at Kuntikana, Mangaluru, around 8.50pm on Saturday.
