BENGALURU: The Karnataka high court, which on Tuesday started hearing arguments on a batch of petitions against hijab ban in classrooms in the state, has requested students and the public to maintain peace and tranquility in the state.
"This court has full faith in the wisdom and virtue of the public at large. It hopes the same is put to practice," Justice Krishna S Dixit observed in a brief order while adjourning the hearing to Wednesday afternoon.
