MANGALURU : Six months after the headscarf controversy first broke out, the hijabsaffron shawl row continues to simmer in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.
Five days after six students were suspended and 12 others were sent back home at the government first-grade college in Uppinangady taluk for violating hijab rules, a group of Hindu students on Thursday came to the college wearing saffron shawls in counter-protest.
