Karen's Diner is coming back to Glasgow as UK's rudest diner hits city centre

A famous diner where customers are deliberately offended and offered the worst service possible is bringing its sell-out pop-up tour back to Glasgow.

Karen's Diner brought their sold-out tour to the southside of the city earlier this year, but confirmed they've now added extra dates at a new location in the city centre.

The famous restaurant chain, which we visited recently to see what all the fuss was about, regularly features in videos on social media sites like Facebook and TikTok thanks to the chaotic atmosphere at their venues that sees sometimes unsuspecting customers regularly abused by the deliberately obnoxious staff.

And the team behind the brand, which originated in Australia and has been taking down south by storm after landing on these shores, is coming back to Glasgow next month as part of a new tour.

Named for the meme term for a person deemed as being excessively demanding and entitled, the firm currently has restaurants south of the border but is bringing its unique brand of chaotic fun to Scotland.

And following the recent sell-out tour, they are returning to the Corona Bar and Grill in Shawlands with tickets on sale now for the newly announced dates from the Explore Hidden website.

When Karen's Diner on Tour is coming back to Glasgow:

Saturday, May 27 and Sunday, May 28 2023.

Venue: Committee Room No.9, 18 John St, Glasgow, G1 1JQ

How to get tickets: With prices starting from £40 per person, you can book from the Explore Hidden website.

What you get: Karen's Diner said: "You will get a full and authentic Karen experience - our games, our waitstaff and the full works. Decent food provided by the venue (we hope) and 2 x tokens for booze for those who love a drink. This is a dining experience like no other - literally. Come enjoy the OG Karens from OG Karen's."

Are kids allowed? The team at Karen's said: "We hate to see the selfish little stink-asses coming through the doors, but yes, they're allowed.

Preferably before 5PM and keep them under control. If one starts screeching, manage the noise or leave. Oh, and if you're worried about us being nice to them you're probably better off staying home.

Can I book for a group? The team at Karen's added: "There's nothing we love more than a BUNCH of Karens. We don't offer group discounts (who do you think you are...) so just make your booking online like everyone else.

Does KD cater for dietary requirements? The team said: "Karen does, but she's not happy about it. If your name is Karen and you are ordering a vegan burger, you must be a brave, brave woman (that or stupid...) All eyes are on you."

You can find more Q and As and the rules for visiting the website.

Posting about the event, the Karen's Diner team wrote: "We're coming to town on tour and well if y'all show up in force we'll either come as a longer term pop up or simply just stay put for a while until we've insulted everyone in YOUR CITY.

"At our pop-up Karen's you will be greeted and waited upon by rude waiters who in return are expecting you to give it full Karen. A place where you can complain until the cows come home because we literally don't care.

"You can expect good food, good fun and a dining experience like you've never had before. Let us know if it's your birthday, if your name is Karen and for the love of Karen don't ask to speak to the manager...."
