Fans of the Kardashians are convinced that Kris Jenner is soon to be announced as the new manager of Pete Davidson.
The 66-year-old reality star has a wealth of experience managing those in the spotlight – moulding her 41-year-old daughter Kim from a sex tape star into a billion dollar business woman.
Rumours are rife that she could be set to snap up 28-year-old Pete – who has been dating Kim since October last year – after he parted ways with his management company.
And the rumours have been fuelled further thanks to a podcast by 29-year-old YouTube star Morgan Paige who hinted she has proof such a deal is about to be made public.
Morgan claimed on her Morgan’s Pop Talks podcast: “Kris Jenner might be managing a new celebrity client. When I tell you, I am shook to the core.”
While her guest on the podcast claimed that Pete was the star in question, adding: “our sources are saying he’s going to be joining with Kris Jenner.”
However, US Weekly has shot down this theory, with a source close to the Kardashians telling them: “Kris is not Pete’s manager.”
Deadline reported last month that Pete had parted ways with management company Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
They reported: “[Pete], who remains repped by ICM Partners, had been at Brillstein for a while, and his manager there, Tim Sarkes, executive produced Pete Davidson’s stand-up specials Pete Davidson: SMD (2016), and Pete Davidson: Alive from New York (2020)
“Davidson is not taking manager meetings right now; it is unclear whether he will sign with a new management company soon.
“Davidson, who started off as one of the youngest-ever SNL cast members, initially only making sporadic appearances on 'Weekend Update,' has become one of the sketch comedy’s most recognizable stars. He also has been making headlines with his work as well as his high-profile relationships, most recently with Kim Kardashian.”
However, this report itself sparked speculation that Pete would soon find himself being managed by his girlfriend’s mother.
One reader commented: “When will Kris be revealed as his new rep?” – with another agreeing, writing: “Yep. Timing makes too much sense.”
Meanwhile Us Weekly reports that Kris has been giving Pete career advice – claiming: “just not in an official capacity.”
Kris opened up about her love of being a manager of her family last year, telling WSJ. Magazine: “First of all I think when it’s your child you go over and above anything that would be required of you if you were just a proper person getting a typical paycheck.
“So I think for me I’ve got the advantage of just being totally dedicated to the kids and wanting the best for them and really going the extra mile and spending the extra time.”
