Karamoko Dembele makes 'greater things to come' statement after Celtic exit as he opens up on Parkhead struggles

KARAMOKO DEMBELE insists there are "greater things to come" following his summer exit from Celtic.

The 19-year-old exited Parkhead to join French outfit Stade Brest after failing to break his way into Ange Postecoglou's starting XI plans.

Writing on Instagram, the winger sent a message of thanks to Celtic as he looked ahead to the next chapter in his career.

He said: "After 13 years at Celtic my time at the club has come to an end.

"I’d like to thank the fans and the people that helped me through this journey.

"Although not everything went according to plan…the challenges I faced over the past 2 years was not foreseen however with faith and the support of my family I knew it would come to pass. Greater things to come!

"Lots of love💚 Karamoko"

Dembele, 19, played a handful of senior games for Celtic during his stint at the club and was once billed as the next big thing when he starred for the Hoops' under 20s at the age of just 13.

Speaking after his move, he explained: “I came to Brest because I saw that the project presented by Greg Lorenzi was good.

"It's something that suits me and I think I can have some playing time here.

"It was a great opportunity that presented itself to me and it interested me.

“I'm very explosive, I like to have fun and give it to the fans and. I like to score and win."
