(Picture: PA Archive)Kanye West has been escorted from the HQ of shoe company Skechers after turning up uninvited, while Madame Tussaud’s has removed his waxwork as an increasing number of companies distance themselves from the troubled musician after he repeatedly made anti-Semitic remarks.
According to Skechers, West “arrived unannounced and without invitation" at Skechers corporate headquarters in California on Wednesday.
“Considering Ye was engaged in unauthorized filming, two Skechers executives escorted him and his party from the building after a brief conversation,” a spokesperson said.
"Skechers is not considering and has no intention of working with West. We condemn his recent divisive remarks and do not tolerate anti-Semitism or any other form of hate speech."
Adidas cut ties with the rapper after mounting pressure and announced that production of its Yeezy line of trainers in collaboration with the star would stop immediately.
Meanwhile, Madame Tussauds London said it had “retired” Ye’s statue from open display to its archive in the wake of his anti-Jewish comments.
“Each profile earns their place at Madame Tussauds London and we listen to our guests and the public on who they expect to see at the attraction,” said a spokesperson.
The waxwork was initially included in the museum in 2015 alongside a figurine of then wife Kim Kardashian. Ms Kardashian has called for an end to the “terrible violence and hateful rhetoric" towards the Jewish community.
West made a number of anti-Semitic comments in interviews and on social media, including a threat that he would soon go “death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE".
His posts led to his suspension from both Twitter and Instagram.
