Kim Kardashian isn’t the only one Kanye West is very publicly breaking up with – friend and collaborator Kid Cudi is also cutting off the star.
Rap sensation Kanye, 44, took aim at Kid – aka 38-year-old Scott Mescudi – as he didn’t like the fact that the fellow musician is friends with Pete Davidson, who is currently romantically linked to 41-year-old Kim.
Kanye and Kid have worked together dozens of times in the past, with frequent collaborations from as far back as 2009 and with Kid featuring on two tracks of Kanye’s recent 2021 album Donda.
However, Kanye has now declared he is banning Kid from featuring on his next album – tipped to be titled Donda 2 – as he objects to the younger musician’s friendship with 28-year-old comedian Pete.
Taking aim at his seemingly now ex-friend, Kanye declared on Instagram on Saturday: “Just so everyone knows Cudi will not be on Donda because he’s friends with you know who.”
Then, making reference to his recent outburst against singer Billie Eilish, Kanye added: “We all speak in Billie language now.”
This was a reference to the fact Kanye has demanded Billie publicly apologise over a comment she made that the rapper has deduced was a thinly veiled swipe at fellow musician Travis Scott and the fact he contained to perform at last years’ fateful Astroworld Festival while members of his audience were being crushed to death.
Kanye has threatened to pull out of headline the upcoming Coachella festival unless Billie apologises – however she has stated online: "literally never said a thing about travis. was just helping a fan."
Meanwhile, Kid Cudi has hit back at Kanye – branding him a “dinosaur” and sounding more than happy never to work with him again.
Responding to Kanye’s Instagram outburst, the Pursuit Of Happiness singer wrote: "Too bad I don't wanna be on ur album u f***** dinosaur hahaha. everyone knows ive been the best thing about ur albums since i met u. Ima pray for you brother."
Then, taking to Twitter, Kid continued: "We talked weeks ago about this. You're whack for flipping the script and posting this lie just for a look on the internet. You ain't no friend. BYE."
Kanye has worried fans with a string of bizarre social media outbursts in recent weeks.
He has seemingly threatened Pete Davison through the medium of song – with lyrics in a track titled Eazy.
As well as lashing out at Bad Guy singer Billie, the rapper has blasted soon-to-be ex-wife Kim who he split from last March.
In astonishing claims, he has suggested Kim – with whom he shared four children – accused him of being on drugs and hiring a hitman to kill her.
He also raged that Kim and her family banned him from his four-year-old daughter Chicago’s birthday party by refusing to tell him the location – however photos later showed him in attendance.
Meanwhile, Kim has hinted she will be keeping a dignified silence amid all of Kanye’s wild accusations – telling a recent edition of Vogue she follows the mantra: “Make sure you are your co-parent's biggest cheerleader, no matter what you're personally going through.”
