Kansas QB Jalon Daniels is doing literally everything for Jayhawks, including some awesome punting

Noted college football powerhouse Kansas is off to a fantastic start this season, as the Jayhawks topped Duke, 35-27, on Saturday and are now 4-0 on the season. Pretty impressive.

Leading Kansas’ offense, quarterback Jalon Daniels had a pretty stellar outing against the Blue Devils too, going 19-for-23 for 324 yards and throwing four touchdowns to lead his team to victory in front of a sellout crowd in Lawrence. He was also his team’s leading rusher in the game with 83 yards on 11 carries and added another touchdown.

He’s basically doing everything for the Jayhawks.

As it turns out, Daniels is a man of many, many talents, and — to the surprise of college football fans as well as FOX Sports broadcasters — he showed off his punting skills. And honestly, not bad!

The Jayhawks had a 28-13 lead at the beginning of the fourth quarter, but they found themselves at 4th-and-7 at Duke’s 41-yard line. With Daniels on the field, it would have been fair to assume Kansas was going to go for it. But he took the snap and then put up a 33-yard punt that nicely landed inside the 10-yard line.

To compare, Kansas punter Reis Vernon had one kick for 45 yards in the Duke win.

Daniels’ was not the best or longest punt the college football world has ever seen, but his foot is almost as good as his arm. And he had an absolutely dazzling Saturday against the Blue Devils.

This was the third straight game this season that Daniels led his team in both passing (obviously) and rushing, it was the first game he broke 300 passing yards this season and his 324 yards in the air against Duke were a career high.
