Adamant he's already the country's greatest, George Kambosos Jr plans on cementing his place in Australian boxing folklore with victory over Devin Haney in Sunday's unification super-fight in Melbourne.
Relishing his underdog status, Kambosos will adopt the same siege mentality that propelled him to a stunning against-the-odds win over Teofimo Lopez in New York last November when he squares off with Haney at Marvel Stadium.
A crowd of more than 50,000 is expected as Kambosos bids to become the undisputed lightweight champion of the world and Australia's first-ever four-belt holder in any division.
At Friday's face-off, the legendary Bob Arem and co-promoter Lou Di-Bella commended the Sydney slugger for not taking "a victory lap" and making the first defence of his WBO, WBA and IBF straps against an easybeat.
Instead Kambosos (20-0, 10KO) will take on the unbeaten Haney (27-0, 15KO) in a genuine global blockbuster that could shatter the attendance record for a boxing match in Australia.
Some 51,052 fans watched Jeff Horne conquer the great Manny Pacquiao in the so-called "Battle of Brisbane" at Suncorp Stadium in 2017.
Even more are set to flock to see "Ferocious" Kambosos chase immortality at Marvel Stadium.
"Undefeated against undefeated. This is what boxing is about," Arem said.
It's more than that to Kambosos.
"It's legacy," the 28-year-old told AAP.
"In my mind, I'm already Australia's greatest with what I've achieved and this cements it on Sunday and there is no questions about that.
"I hate question marks. I hate things where people have a question to ask.
"That's why back in 2016 and '17, I took over the whole Australian lightweight division. I took everyone out that was there. Leave no question marks.
"Now I'm doing the same thing as a world champion. You fight the best, you beat the best. You leave no question marks at all.
"He's got that other half a piece of belt that we know he never got in the ring but what better to stop all that than by beating him, taking him out and having that as well."
Haney was given his WBC belt as "a present", according to Kambosos, after predecessor Vasiliy Lomachenko was promoted to "Franchise Champion".
Haney on Friday said he deserved the favourite's tag afforded to him by bookmakers, but Kambosos plans on silencing the 23-year-old American who goes by "The Dream".
"Victory by any means. Everything I do is better than Haney," he said.
"I just feel that what I bring to the table - my speed, my rhythm, my sharpness, the angles, the high volume, the intensity - it's going to be too much for him.
"He will break. I saw him break again today in the face-off. He's broken."
