Kamala Harris Launches New Radio Ad Targeting Black Voters

U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris speaks during criminal justice roundtable

Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign is set to debut a new radio ad this weekend, strategically aimed at engaging Black voters in six crucial battleground states. The ad, titled 'Foundation,' highlights Harris' upbringing in a middle-class family and her commitment to reducing everyday expenses to help Americans not just survive, but thrive.

The ad emphasizes Harris' core values of standing up for ordinary Americans, rooted in her background of being raised in a middle-class household by a hardworking mother who instilled in her a deep sense of justice and equality. It showcases Harris' track record as a district attorney, where she prioritized the safety of children by prosecuting sex offenders and spearheaded initiatives to provide nonviolent drug offenders with opportunities for redemption.

This 60-second ad is part of a substantial seven-figure investment in paid media for the remainder of August. It is slated to air across six swing states crucial to the upcoming election: Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Nevada.

In addition to the primary ad, a shorter 30-second spot will also be broadcast on national radio stations and popular shows such as The Breakfast Club, The Morning Hustle, Urban One radio network, Steve Harvey, DL Hughley, Rickey Smiley, and Erica Campbell.
