The “Fight for Our Freedoms” is aimed to energize college student, mainly Gen Z, to vote   in the upcoming 2024 election.

On Thursday, Harris touched on a few topics that included LGBT rights, abortion, gun control, and climate change.

Harris slammed the Supreme Court’s decision on overturning Roe v. Wade. She had mentioned a the need for abortion in the event of a rape incest.

She currently lobbying for young voters to head to polls in November 2024 as President Joe Biden is currently facing challenges with a low approval rating among voters.

“It’s not as simple as vote and your vote will matter,” said Harris. “You’ve also got to know that there are people right now who are intentionally trying to make it difficult for you to vote.”

The vice president made no mentions of Former President Donald Trump or the legal indictments. Trump remains ahead of the GOP primary polls among his rivals as he is currently tied with Biden in a hypothetical match up.

She had preached to the college students about having to be the leaders of tomorrow.

“We need young leaders in our country,” said Harris telling students. “The kind of fear that our young people and our children that are living today”

Harris referenced the trauma of a personal friends years ago that led to be a career prosecutor.

With her preach to younger voters about leadership, no mention was added about President Biden age as he is currently facing concern among the Democratic Party.

The messaging strategy to younger voters is similar to what Former President Barack Obama used in his re-election campaign in 2012. The message was just one word, vote.

“Of the many ways you can make a difference is to vote,” said Vice President Harris in her talk.

The vice president didn’t jab opponents at the event where she only preached to students at FIU about the importances.

She had jabbed about the at Ron DeSantis’ LGBT policies that included the “Don’t Stay Gay Bill.”

Biden made an appearance in Michigan on Tuesday being the first president to join a union picket line that included him wearing an UAW hat.

It’s more than likely that the Biden-Harris ticket will see a rematch with Trump in 2024.
