One of India's biggest superstars, South Indian megastar Kamal Haasan just launched his own clothing label and on the sidelines of Republic Day, he made a global pitch for the says khadi, a hand-spun and woven natural fibre cloth promoted by Mahatma Gandhi during the freedom struggle.
According to the actor, who has launched a Khaddar (Khadi) label, it not only represents Indianness, but also is a fabric for all seasons. Kamal is of the opinion that it has the potential to re-connect with people and all it would take for it to happen is a good idea to cultivate this affinity.
