Kalvin Phillips has confirmed that illness prevented him from attending Manchester City's transfer unveiling event on Sunday afternoon.
It's already been a highly productive summer for City, who have added four new players to Pep Guardiola's squad. Star striker Erling Haaland has been joined by Julian Alvarez, Stefan Ortega and Phillips.
The new recruits were presented as Blues players in front of supporters at the Etihad but Phillips wasn't alongside his new teammates as he wasn't feeling well. The midfielder confirmed the news on social media, writing: "Really gutted that I wasn’t feeling well enough to make the @ManCity unveiling today.
