Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha's classy messages to Leif Davis as defender departs Leeds United

Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha have both taken to social media to send their best wishes to Leif Davis, who left Leeds United to join Ipswich Town on Monday.

Davis joined the League One side for an undisclosed fee, thought to be in the region of £1 million. The 22-year-old featured in the Whites' pre-season tour of Australia, but he didn't play many minutes, strongly indicating that his future lay elsewhere.

The left-back took to Instagram to say his farewells to those at Leeds, with recently-departed Elland Road duo Phillips and Raphinha replying to the post.

Davis said: "Thank you! Being at Leeds United was never taken lightly and has been such a big part of my journey and growth so far.

"I've made some friends for life and will never forget the roar at Elland Rd and the passion of the fans at the stadium and beyond.

"It's time for me to move on. I just want to say THANK YOU to all the staff, players, fans and all connected with the club for your support whether it's been big or small. Leeds will always have a place in my heart.

"I wish everyone well and lots of success in the future. #MOT."

Raphinha replied: "All the best my little brother," while Phillips replied "My bro."

Raphinha joined Barcelona this month, with Phillips signing for Premier League champions Manchester City.
