Kai Havertz has confessed Chelsea were "not good enough" in their 4-1 defeat to Brighton on Saturday afternoon.
Graham Potter's 10th match in charge of the Blues turned out to be his first defeat as head coach. Ironically, the 47-year-old's first loss was at the club he left to join Chelsea last month.
Leandro Trossard struck early on for the hosts down at the Amex Stadium before own goals from both Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Trevoh Chalobah saw Chelsea go into the half-time break 3-0 down. Havertz responded for the Blues in the second period but Pascal Gross restored Brighton's three-goal lead late on to compile more misery on Chelsea.

Havertz, taking to Twitter on Sunday afternoon, just less than 24 hours after the defeat, has reacted to the game. The German is clearly still hurting from the match.
He tweeted: "Not good enough from us yesterday. Thank you to the fans as always for your support!"
After the game, Potter was asked several questions about what went wrong for Chelsea. One reporter pointed out how the Blues have struggled against high-tempo sides this season, including to Leeds United earlier in the campaign.
"No [there isn't an issue against high-tempo teams], but it's the Premier League and everywhere is difficult," the Chelsea head coach said. "Brighton are a good side, I know that.
"And with the crowd and atmosphere they created, they put us under pressure. We made a couple of unforced errors to start everything off a little bit, but that can happen.
"Like I said, I'm not going to throw the players under the bus at all because they've been brilliant for us and given everything for me. So I have to take responsibility and try to find a way for us to do better.
"We've had an incredible schedule, this was our ninth game and sixth away match. We've had three wins in the Champions League to qualify, tough matches away at Brentford and Aston Villa, so this isn't to complain, but it's what we're up against. We met a really good opponent today, and they did really well."
