Kai Havertz reveals Bayern Munich and Chelsea transfer stance as Thomas Tuchel plan clear

Kai Havertz has refused to rule out a move to Bayern Munich ahead of the summer transfer window. The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a switch to the Bundesliga champions at the end of the season following the appointment of Thomas Tuchel, as have several other Chelsea stars.

Havertz, who sees his contract at Stamford Bridge expire in 2025, has featured 26 times for the Blues this season so far, directly contributing towards eight goals. While the attacker has enjoyed spells of brilliance for the west London outfit, he's struggled to impress on a frequent basis.

Shortly after Tuchel replaced Julian Nagelsmann at the Allianz Arena, it was said that the former Chelsea boss was keen to reunite with various Blues players — one of whom reportedly being the Germany international. However, a few days later, Sky Sports Germany later revealed that Havertz is not on Bayern's radar.

But that has not stopped the Chelsea forward from denying a move to the German outfit in the future. Speaking to Sport Bild, Havertz claimed that it would be hard to say no to Bayern despite his 'personal goal' to showcase his abilities in England and Spain.

"Bayern are generally a huge club that it's hard to say no to as a German player," he said. "But my personal goal has always been to play abroad at some point. In England or Spain."

In a recent interview with The Guardian, Havertz credited Tuchel for reshaping his outlook on football for the better. The Chelsea star said: "Tuchel gave me a different idea of football. Every detail counts, every centimetre, how you touch the ball, how you control, where you pass, which foot, movement, creating spaces - he’s just top level.

"To come and win the Champions League in six months says it all. My brother and I used to watch every Champions League game and to hold the trophy with your family on the pitch was such a relief.

"I scored this goal, I can be happy. I made my childhood dream come true. And the ambition is still there. In the league we are not very good and we feel for the fans but against Dortmund, the atmosphere was the best I have seen. You feel the excitement.

"The Premier League is big and winning it may be even more difficult but the Champions League is different. Hearing that anthem, playing at night: it’s special."
