Kadarius Toney continues New York Giants attack with x-rated Instagram post

Kansas City Chiefs receiver Kadarius Toney cannot stop firing shots at the New York Giants fanbase after winning the Super Bowl months following his trade to the AFC West franchise.

Toney was dealt to the Chiefs by the Giants in the middle of the 2022 season, with New York letting him go for just a third-round pick. The move came approximately 18 months after the Giants selected him in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft and injuries marred the start of his career.

Toney was rarely healthy and ill-prepared while a member of the Giants and that ultimately led to his early exit following the hire of head coach Brian Daboll in New York last offseason. The Giants received a pair of draft picks from the Chiefs as a result, one of which was used to land Pro Bowl tight end Darren Waller in a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Meanwhile, Toney played a key role for the Chiefs in the postseason, with a record-setting punt return and a touchdown as Kansas City won its second Super Bowl title in four years. Despite landing in a good spot, Toney cannot resist taking jabs at the Giants and their fans on social media as he posted a video to Instagram.

While the video ensures Toney’s face is blacked out, he said: “New York fans are mad at me like I don’t really give a f***… like, s*** bro that’s all your GM. I don’t really give a f***. S***, buddy traded me.

“I just made my move, made something out of it and now I’ve got this ring and y’all mad at me. Y’all can’t get mad at me because it’s not a blue ring - it’s a ring with a KC on that b**** and I love them folks.”

It is not the first time the former Florida Gators star has hit out at his former team after he sent the Giants a message as he was presented with his Super Bowl ring. In a YouTube video, Toney was getting his ring sized when he joked about getting it fitted for his middle finger and insisted he would walk around New York with it on.

“Aye, this for everybody in New York right here,” Toney said. “I’m gonna go to the middle of New York with my middle finger up. I love trolling. They tried to troll me, I've got something for 'em.”

In the 2021 NFL Draft, the Giants selected Toney in the first round as he was an explosive wide receiver who had been compared to then-Chiefs ace Tyreek Hill. However, he struggled to stay fit and failed to live up to the hype in his first season despite putting up 189 yards against the Dallas Cowboys to shatter Odell Beckham Jr’s franchise record for receiving yards by a rookie in a single game.

Toney continued to struggle with injuries the following season and was traded by general manager Joe Schoen to the Chiefs for a third-round and a sixth-round pick. His role appeared limited last season, but he is poised to step up as both JuJu Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman left the franchise in the offseason.

Earlier this offseason, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid discussed Toney and said: “Kadarius did a nice job for us. He came in and did what we asked.

“We had to rest him for a while with the hamstring. We tried to get that back and I could see where he wanted to rush things back and get back in there - he loves to play. We backed up and let it heal and he was good after that.

“He was great, I don't know all the stuff there but I just know he was great with us. He fit right in and did a nice job.”
