K-State Player Throws Inbounds Pass to Himself for Easy Bucket

The action from Madison Square Garden in the Sweet 16 showdown between Michigan State and Kansas State just served up one of the best plays of the men's NCAA tournament.

With 14:10 to go in the second half and the game tied at 50, Kansas State’s Keyontae Johnson made an insane basket off an inbounds play under the Spartans basket.

Johnson, who was struggling to find an open teammate, chose to pass the ball off the back of Michigan State forward Malik Hall.

After the ball hit the unexpecting Hall, Johnson grabbed the ball on the fly and laid it in for the easy basket.

With four minutes to go, and Kansas State up 77–73, Johnson has scored a game-high 18 points while grabbing six rebounds.

The winner of the East Regional matchup will face the winner of Tennessee versus Florida Atlantic on Saturday in Elite Eight action from New York City.
