The Seahawks have brought back a couple of familiar faces on defense this offseason, re-signing former defensive tackle Quinton Jefferson as well as slot cornerback Justin Coleman. One other former Seattle defender who might see his way back into the organization this year is linebacker K.J. Wright, who says he wants to come back to be with his family.
Yesterday, general manager John Schneider was a guest on ESPN 710 AM and said both he and coach Pete Carroll have spoken with Wright. However, he says if Wright comes back it would probably be in some sort of “non-playing” role.
Asked about KJ Wright, Schneider says "both Pete and I have met with him this offseason. He's trying to figure some things out, too, as we are. But probably be in some sort of non-playing role.''

Wright was a fourth-round pick by the Seahawks in 2011 and played his position at a high level for 10 years then spent last season with the Raiders.
The team seems happy with their current linebacker group. Jordyn Brooks and Cody Barton are projected to start in the absence of Wright and Bobby Wagner. They did not use a draft pick on this position.
