Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes is subject to transfer interest from Serie A giants Juventus this summer.
The Gunners do not want to lose their star Brazilian centre-back but after failing to qualify for the Champions League, Mikel Arteta faces a battle to keep key players at the Emirates ahead of next season. Gabriel has been a stalwart in defence since signing from Lille for £18million two years ago, forming a strong partnership with Ben White last term.
William Saliba's return may soften the blow should Gabriel leave the club and football.london understands the north Londoners are in the market for a new left-sided defender. Juventus have been heavily linked with a move for the Brazilian, with the Old Lady targeting a replacement for Matthijs de Ligt who is on the brink of joining Bayern Munich.

Arsenal could demand a significant transfer fee to part ways with Gabriel, with the 24-year-old under contract with the Gunners until 2025. Writing in his exclusive CaughtOffside column, via Substack, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano said: “Gabriel Magalhaes has been Juventus’ priority for months but it all depends on the price Arsenal will set for the Brazilian defender.”
Reports suggest the Gunners would only negotiate a transfer exit for the 24-year-old should a bid of £50million come their way, but Gabriel himself has already appeared to respond to reports linking him with a move away from the Emirates. Interest from Juventus has loomed for the past three months, but when the rumours first began to circulate Gabriel had scored in Arsenal's 2-1 win at West Ham and the Brazilian celebrated by running towards the away end pointing towards the badge on his shirt, for what seemed to be a symbol of commitment to the club.
Arsenal are keen to keep hold of key stars such as Gabriel, Ben White, Emile Smith Rowe, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka this summer as Arteta continues to build a young, exciting team fans can get behind. The Gunners want to extend Saka's contract ahead of the 2022/23 campaign with Liverpool and Manchester City both said to be interested in the 20-year-old who has just two years left on his current deal.
