Justin Timberlake has turned off the comments on his Instagram days after the release of Britney Spears’ memoir, The Woman In Me.
The singer, who dated Timberlake from 1999 to 2002, claimed in her autobiography that the then *NSYNC member ended their three-year relationship by text after she kissed her choreographer Wade Robson.
She also discussed the “difficult” decision to have an abortion after learning she was pregnant in 2000, claiming in the book that Timberlake "wasn't happy" about the pregnancy and didn't want to be a father so young. She also claimed Timberlake had been unfaithful.
While the Mirror hitmaker, 42, hasn't publicly responded to any of Spears’ claims, he has turned off comments on his Instagram.
The star’s last post was shared on September 29, to celebrate the release of his and NSYNC’s track, Better Place.
According to Page Six, a source said the decision to remove the comments function from his page, which boasts 72million followers, was due to “hateful, disgusting things people were saying”.
In the wake of the book’s release, an insider revealed that Timberlake isn’t “happy” about what has been written.
A source told DailyMail.com: “Justin has not reached out to Britney at all about any of this and he is not going to because there is nothing he can say to her.'
“She was there and is just telling it from her point of view. That does not mean he is okay with it. Justin is not at all happy about what has come out in this book.
“Doing this book has given Britney life and she really doesn't care who is offended by anything in it because it is what happened. She was there and lived through it. No one can say anything. She has got this all out of her and is moving on now.”
