England head coach Chris Silverwood is under pressure following his side's 4-0 defeat to Australia in the Ashes and a decision on his future is said to be imminent.
Managing Director Ashley Giles has been tasked with putting together a report examining England's defeat and Sir Andrew Strauss, the chair of the ECB's cricket committee, will review the report and then make any recommendations to the board.
That includes a decision over the future of Silverwood, with several potential replacements already mooted.
