After three years as the Chicago Bears’ starting quarterback, Justin Fields understands the team’s rivalry with the Green Bay Packers pretty well by now.
The two NFC North teams will face each other to end the regular season on Sunday, Jan. 7. This will mark Fields’s sixth time playing against the Packers. He hasn’t beat the rival team yet in his career, going 0–5.
But his poor record against Chicago didn’t stop Fields from talking some trash ahead of this week’s game, making a joke that sparked laughter from the media on Wednesday.
“Their fans are gonna be loud, because there’s not much to do in Green Bay except watch football,” Fields said.

The Bears and Packers played each other in Week 1 of this season, a game which Green Bay won 38–20.
The Bears have been eliminated from the playoffs, but they will look to spoil the Packers’ playoff hopes. Green Bay currently holds the seventh NFC seed, but a loss would likely push them out of the playoffs.
