After they unveiled new orange uniforms, the Bears and Justin Fields were hoping for some offensive fireworks when they battled on Thursday night. And it seemed like they’d live up to that promise for a couple of drives.
On two of their three possessions, the Bears faced a first-and-goal. The result of the first time near the goal line? A fluke interception right into the hands of Jonathan Allen. The result of the second instance near the goal line? A missed Fields throw to Ryan Griffin, and then an easy stuff by the Commanders’ front line on fourth and short.
In total, the Bears had over 172 yards of offense by the end of the first half … but zero points. That seemed to visibly frustrate Fields, who was captured on camera breathing deeply as he listened to something on his field headset. Of course, NFL fans who saw this game’s early results turned Fields’ breathing into a hilarious meme right away.
NFL fans had lots of jokes and memes about Justin Fields breathing deeply on the sideline

Is there a breathing technique that will actually allow Justin Fields to throw the freaking football? This is painful.
